To ensure one-on-one instruction and a personalized experience, this workshop is limited to 18 attendees.
We suggest bringing your fully-charged camera. You'll be shooting right alongside Laylee, Steph, and the other attendees during the styled shoots. We will provide the opportunity to have your headshot taken during the first day of the workshop, so be sure to wear whatever you'd like to be photographed in! You are also welcome to bring your laptop and other note-taking tools.
This workshop is designed with the aspiring professional photographer in mind. Intermediate experience of 1-3 years is recommended. If you’re new to photography or just starting your photography business, this will be a great opportunity to learn about the back-end of your business. However, if you're looking for an introductory course to learn more about the technical use of your camera, Laylee offers personal mentoring and courses for the budding photographer.
Yes! To reserve your seat at La Reverie Workshop, a retainer payment of $500 is required. The remainder of your payment is due two weeks prior to the workshop. Payment plans will be displayed as part of the registration process.
To be notified about upcoming workshops, join our email waitlist.
Lodging, travel, and dinners are not included in the price of this workshop. However, if you'll be coming from out of town, both DFW and Love Field airports are within about one hour of The White Sparrow. There are several options for accommodation within a short drive of the Barn. After you've registered for the workshop you'll be added to a Facebook group with the other attendees where you can discuss the possibility of sharing hotel rooms and rides. You will also receive a list of our personal recommendations.
Laylee is a published, award-winning photographer in Dallas, TX specializing in seniors, dancers, and weddings. Her passion for education stems from her previous career as a high school teacher, and as a full-time photographer and entrepreneur she quickly began mentoring aspiring photographers and teaching an introduction to photography workshop series.
Laylee has a heart for cultivating community and loves to truly connect with people. One of her favorite way to give back to her community is to lead the North Dallas Tuesdays Together educational group for creative entrepreneurs. Her greatest joys are preserving genuine once in a lifetime moments and helping others reach their goals.
On any day she has off, you’ll likely find Laylee curled up with a book and cup of coffee at home with her husband Tim and two furbabies Ron and Luna (yes, named after Harry Potter characters!)
Steph is an artist, educator, and wedding photographer for the wholeheartedly in love. When she's not behind the camera, you can find her baking something sweet in the kitchen, spending time with her handsome hubby and sweet goldendoodle pup, or grabbing a cup or milky coffee or tea at a local shop. Her business, Gray Door Photography, is based in Dallas, Texas but, as a girl who loves to travel, Steph always has her bags packed (some of her favorite travel destinations - England and Greece!)
Steph has a huge heart for helping fellow dream-chasers and grow their businesses - whether it be collaborating with other artists for styled shoots or projects, mentoring local photographers, or educating creative entrepreneurs as a leader of the North Dallas Tuesdays Together chapter. Her work has been published in Brides of North Texas, Cake and Lake, Ruffled, and 100 Layer Cake as wedding photography inspiration. Most importantly, Steph is a firm believer in putting others before yourself and leaving self-doubt at the door.
