DALLAS, TX – The only thing as precious as Kelsi and Jake’s sweet engagement session is the beautiful story of their proposal. Jake’s birthday, December 22nd, was already a day to celebrate for these two. This year, that day took on a brand new meaning.
It was cold and rainy in Dallas this December 22nd, but still Jake’s only birthday request was to go and see the Christmas lights at Vitruvian Park. So they did, but not until after a grabbing a drink at a local bar. It’s no secret that Kelsi and Jake are an adorable couple (have you seen the photos in this post?!) but even an elderly gentlemen at the bar that night decided it was his moment to tell them just how beautiful they are and, of course, make his cute remarks about marriage! Some call it coincidence; I call that fate! When their glasses were empty they braved the cold and went to see the twinkling lights. When they came upon a secluded area of the park Jake got down on one knee. He told Kelsi that he loves her with all his heart, wants to share his life with her, and asked if she would be his wife. She didn’t hesitate to say yes! To top it off, their night concluded with a surprise engagement party that Jake had planned! Is there a better way to celebrate such wonderful, life-changing news than spending time with your closest loved ones and friends?
